Council

Council usually meets once per year. FEMS Council consists of the Delegates of all Member Societies and the officers of the Executive Committee. Members of Council who are unable to attend may appoint a proxy/deputy. This should be done by using the relevant form (see below). All members of Council wishing to attend the meeting should complete a registration form (see below), and make their own travel and accommodation arrangements. As of 2006, FEMS Council Participation Grants are available to support the attendance of Delegates of of Full Member Societies that are unable to provide financial support themselves. Members Societies may bid to host the Council meeting in their own country. The Executive Committee will elect one venue from amongst those bids.

Forthcoming Meeting

The 35^th Council meeting (C08-35) will take place in Edinburgh, Scotland, on Saturday 2008 September 13.
The 16th Delegates meeting (D08-16) will take place on the preceding Friday afternoon, 2008 September 12.
The Agenda for the meeting will be available four months in advance of the meeting.
The Council Programme will be available at the latest one month in advance of the meeting.
